lebua at State Tower

Lebua at State Tower is an all-suite, luxury 5-star hotel situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bang Rak, right in the heart of central Bangkok. This is one of the capital’s best hotels with prices to match, however, compared to 5-star hotels in the west it is quite affordable. The rooftop bar and restaurant made the hotel famous in the movie “The Hangover Part 2” in 2011, so don’t be surprised to see fans taking selfies next to the iconic golden dome atop the hotel which can be seen for miles around. The hotel itself offers clean, comfortable and spacious rooms with designer bathrooms and premium, comfortable beds.

At this price point, you get exceptional service, luxurious decoration and detailing, and all the amenities you would expect from a 5-star property including a 24-hour concierge, tour bookings, room service, business centre, a bridal suite, almost anything you could need during your stay. There are also an amazing 11 restaurants on-site, with the famous Sirocco which is considered to be one of Bangkok’s best restaurants, with sensational views out over the city, particularly at night.

With rooms starting at around 4750 baht ($156) when booked online, this is definitely at the premium end for Bangkok but offers remarkably good value compared to places such as London, Paris or New York where you would expect to pay double this or even more. You can’t fail to be impressed by this hotel, so if your budget stretches to it either for one night or your whole stay (lucky you) then you will undoubtedly have a fantastic time at this sensational hotel.
