Green House

The Green House is a budget guesthouse primarily aimed at backpackers and younger travelers. It offers basic, but clean and comfortable rooms (with air-con and free Wi-Fi) from as little as 650 baht ($21) and has a highly rated restaurant and bar with pool tables on the ground floor. The Green House is actually located on the road adjacent to Khao San Road, known as Soi Rambuttri, which has been the savvy choice for years amongst budget travelers as you can get cheaper and quieter rooms here than on the main strip itself. However the soi itself has developed rapidly over recent years and therefore there is now a bit of partying going on in the evenings, so it’s not as quiet as it once was and more suited to hedonistic travelers.

This guesthouse is right in the middle of the action, you are within a few minutes walking distance of many attractions including Khao San Road, Wat Chana Songkhram (the local temple), and also have easy access to the Chao Phraya Express Boat and the khlong ferry service, both of which will save you time and money if you want to explore other parts of the city. If you chose to stay here you are getting fantastic value for money, great service from happy, smiling staff, and an excellent location from which you can both party the night away with like-minded travelers, or explore Bangkok at your leisure. And all for little more than $20 per night!
