D&D Inn

The D&D Inn is one of the most well-known hotels in the backpacker enclave of Khao San Road and is located slap bang in the middle of this bustling and vibrant street. The D&D been around for many years but has been renovated several times so now offers clean and comfortable rooms for as little as 900 baht ($30) a night. Obviously, at that price, you aren’t getting 5-star accommodation, but the hotel targets the younger travellers and backpackers, with several nightclubs and bars within a minutes’ walk from the property. Also within a stone’s throw of the hotel are a number of travel agencies, money exchange booths, pharmacies and ATMs, it’s very convenient for the first-time traveler.

Other than the location right in the middle of the action, the property is also popular because of its rooftop swimming pool which is a fantastic way to relieve your hangover and meet other like-minded travelers after a hard night of partying. There are dozens upon dozens of great value places to eat in the vicinity with almost every kind of food available, from the ubiquitous fast food joints to Israeli, Indian, Korean and of course Thai venues being popular. There are also loads of street-food venues on the street where you can eat very well for a couple of dollars if you are watching your budget.
